The Entry Requirements
What are we looking for?
GCSE
All candidates must have at least a C grade (or equivalent) for GCSE Maths, English and Science.
Undergraduate Degree
An undergraduate degree with a 2:2 or above.
Other Qualifications
All candidates must complete our Competency Tests in Maths and English, before starting the course.
School Experience
It would be beneficial, although not essential, for applicants to have gained a minimum of 5 days experience in a primary school, by the time the training programme starts.
Entry Requirements
We are looking for trainees who display strong professional values, who have a real passion for teaching. You must be ambitious, highly motivated, reflective, with the ability to effectively work as a member of a team. You will need high quality organisational and communication skills.
Professional Skills Tests
The professional skills tests for prospective teachers are no longer required to be completed, by trainees. These have been removed by the government.
In replace of these tests, trainees who are successful in joining Inspire Professional Development will undertake our 'Competency Tests' in Maths and English. These tests will allow us to better identify the individual needs of each trainee and offer extra support to strengthen their skills where needed.
